Acoustic Analysis | Voice/speech quality and intelligibility including pitch, loudness, duration, rate, melody, pausing characteristics, etc. |
Delayed Auditory Feedback | Examines the functional and/or compensatory components of voice problems. Also examines voice characteristics. |
Stroboscopic Illumination Technique | Synchronized, computer-driven, slow motion technique describing the mechanism of voice and speech. |
Multi-Dimensional Acoustic Profile | A test identifying trends representing in the signal characteristics, usually in the presence of induced background noise. Also notes the presence of associated somatic signs, i.e., throat clearing, coughing. Overall voice quality is scored on a 1-5 point scale for the presence or absence of breathiness, overpressure, periodicity, and tremor. Fatigue factor is noted on a 1-10 scale. |
